in this childhood character my dreams resided - like mickey mouse, i wanted to rise above all humanity to a point where i could touch the stars, to make them shine for me and me alone, to play the constellations like a master on the grand piano. I wished that I could escape the drab, gray, lonely world to a place where I could drown myself in the lovely blue vastness of the sky, where the glittering stars could cradle me and what few sorrows I had. 

But I also knew that like mickey, i could raise mountains and orchestrate tidal waves but eventually i would have to come back to earth. better that you dream less, i learnt, so you don’t have to fall from the stars back to earth.
